DATA ALIGNMENT PLATFORM (DAP)

Successful deployment of monitoring and control system technologies requires specialized capabilities in data capture, pathways, analysis, and control to evaluate component operation & awareness (smart systems), system-of-system operation and awareness (smart building), and network operation and awareness (e.g. smart process) resulting in data models, measurement and verification, and performance evaluation necessary for market adoption.

The Data Alignment Platform (DAP) seeks to drive a systematic progression in data utilization by creating a digital twin of a mission critical facility to serve as a “living laboratory” that utilizes a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) control system architecture operating as a:

  • Building Management System (BMS) to simulate a System Operations Center (SOC) configured as a “flow-of-data” for individual component-equipment-system (CES) loop monitoring applications and control methodologies;
  • Building Analysis System (BAS) to simulate a Network Operations Center (NOC) configured as a “data warehouse” for system-of-systems (SoS) analysis applications and optimization methodologies; and,
  • Performance Management System (PMS) to demonstrate Business Performance Management (BPM) configured as a “data warehouse” for financial management applications and cost center control methodologies.
