Advanced Manufacturing Performance Center
A collaboration between SUNY Polytechnic Institute and SEMI offers open-access to a standard semiconductor manufacturing environment owned and managed by SUNY Polytechnic Institute to address all aspects of the facilities ecosystem from tooling hardware, components and sub-systems to information technology, execution systems, and security, among others.
The AMP Center Focuses
On Test Beds
SUNY Poly and SEMI Team Up to Create an AI/Big Data Test-bed Michael Fancher of SUNY Poly and David Anderson, President of SEMI, discuss their collaboration under the AMP Center at the Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Conference (ASMC) in 2018 with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and big data.
Workforce Development Michael Fancher describes workforce deployment effort under AMP Center with a focus on deployment of a Learning Management System (LMS) to scale high tech training. .
With installed connectivity to support manufacturing engineering controls and a full complement of automation infrastructure and data management capability, AMP supports both collaborative programs and proprietary projects using modified industry-standard manufacturing execution system and other protocols to insure protection of intellectual property and confidentiality.
AMP provides project-ready test-beds for technology innovation that includes: component-level research laboratories focusing on root cause analysis; systems-level development facilities focusing on system-of-systems data correlation; and, a process-level deployment manufacturing environment for process engineering control and performance management.
